REACH

Organizations wishing to place chemical substances on the European Union (EU) market are required to fully comply with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and the Council Regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), dated 18 December 2006. The REACH Regulation, which entered into force on 1 July 2007, aims to safeguard human health and the environment from potential risks arising from chemicals.
REACH has significant implications for manufacturers within the EU, downstream users, and non-EU producers exporting chemicals to the EU. Under the Regulation, any substance placed on the market-either on its own or within a mixture-in quantities of one tonne or more per year must be registered. Non-EU manufacturers are legally required to appoint an Only Representative to fulfill REACH obligations and to protect commercial confidentiality. The REACH registration process is complex and necessitates the support of professionals who are well-versed in the relevant legislation.
Under REACH, RGS provides a comprehensive portfolio of services, including Only Representative assignment, preparation of inquiry and registration dossiers, tailored company trainings, and general consultancy services to determine registration obligations.
