According to the Cosmetics Regulation, cosmetic products must be notified to the competent authority before being placed on the market. The Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP) allows authorities and poison centers to electronically access this information.

The following information must be submitted during notification:

  • Product name and category
  • Responsible Person (name and PIF address)
  • Country of origin for imported products
  • Member State where the product is placed on the market
  • Contact details of the natural person
  • Presence of nanomaterials (identification and anticipated exposure conditions)
  • Presence of CMR substances (carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic to reproduction)
  • Frame formulation (to facilitate appropriate treatment in case of emergency)
  • Labeling information
  • Product images
